Mundaka Upanishad:~ . He who knows Brahman becomes Brahman.+

Mundaka Upanishad:~ As rivers flow into the sea and in so doing lose name and form, so even the wise man, freed from name and form, attains the Supreme Being, the Self-luminous, the Infinite. He who knows Brahman becomes Brahman. ~ 3.2.8-

It is not who has to be free. It is the Soul, the Self has to become free from the illusory universe in which you exist. Perfect understanding of 'what is what' leads to liberation from the illusory reality.

If people have believed religious propagated myth thing over thousands of years, the length of time does not prove it true.

Adyatma is nothing to do with religious sects or creeds and religious beliefs or any philosophy or thinkers teaching. Adyatma is pure spirituality. Knowledge of Atma is Adyatma. Advaita is Adyatma.

Adyatma is the knowledge of the truth beyond form, time, and space. Bifurcate religion, yoga, and theoretical philosophy and base the truth on the Athma it is Adyathma.

Adyatma is based on the ultimate truth which is based on the Atman or Spirit, which is the Self.

Sage Sankara's Advaitic wisdom is pure spirituality or Adyathma.

Sage Sankara clearly says:~ Neither studying philosophy nor by worship as many gods nor observe ceremonies nor by singing devotional hymns nor by uttering mantra nor by mastering the scriptures liberation comes without realizing the Oneness.

Advaitic wisdom is not found in scriptures or books. There are only hidden parables here and there. There is no clear-cut wisdom whatsoever in this. Mere words ~ just a collection of words. Wisdom is hidden within the world in which we exist. The truth is not found in the world because the world is merely an illusion created out of consciousness. The Truth is beyond form, time, and space.

Katha Upanishad 1:2:23 The Soul cannot be realized through hearing a scholarly explanation of the discourses, not even by the intellect.

Sage Goudpada: ~ To establish the truth of Non-duality by sheer reasoning alone. He begins by defining "What is real?" "What is unreal?" etc, because that is the right way to discuss or teach. People must first know what they are talking about. (Manduka Karika)

Mundaka Upanishad:~ The study of the Vedas, linguistics, Rituals, astronomy, and all the arts Can be called lower knowledge. The higher is that which leads to Self-realization. The eye cannot see it; the mind cannot grasp it. The deathless 'Self' has neither caste nor race, neither eyes nor ears nor hands nor feet. Sages say this Self is infinite in the great and in the small, everlasting and changeless, the source of life.

All these selected quotes from the scriptures are helpful to think deeply nothing more.

Remember:~

Ashtavakra:~There is no wisdom whatsoever in the scriptures-just a collection of words.

I only highlighted scriptural insights which point to the ultimate reality. what is not helpful in the pursuit of truth has to be discarded.

The seeker should not bother about finding the meaning of what is written in the scriptures.

Do not indulge in arguing from your own standpoint holding your accumulated knowledge as a yardstick that is pointless.

Instead, read, reason, and reflect on the subject, which is the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara to get rid of ignorance.

Remember:~

In pursuit of truth, the ultimate truth has to be proved, not assumed. Pundits who take scriptures for granted are not Gnanis.

Pundits teach that all is yourself, but none of them can show that this is so, none has analyzed it scientifically, and none can prove it. Rational proof is needed so that one arrives at knowing truth i.e. wisdom; punditry is dogma, parrotism, repetition of what they read in scripture. Scriptures are not yardsticks and the scriptural truth is not proof. Pundits take scripters as an authority. Authoritarianism merely assumes as true what another says, but what has yet to be proved.

Pundits have to test the truth in this world, not in the next world. There is no proof other than blind belief based on the scriptures, belief is not the truth. So, doctrines are not the means to realize the truth. There is no need to follow them in order to acquire self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana.

Doubts and Confusions arise when the seeker finds the scripters and yoga are inadequate or useless to quench his spiritual thirst. Disappointments in religion or yoga or even science imply error or ignorance. Seeker reaches a stage whether he is right?" Where is the certainty that he is proceeding on right lines?"

Thus, the doubts arise and the inquiring spirit comes and impels to search elsewhere for truth where it will not be possible even to have doubt. The test is therefore in the experience. And only in non-duality, where there are no two to argue about views or to have the difference of opinion can such doubtlessness be possible. Belief depends upon unstable bases whereas certainty depends on the proof.

Seeker of truth has to get rid of his doubts through deeper self-search on his own, to realize the fact that, the 'Self' is not the form but the ' Self' is formless. Thus, his analysis and reasoning have to be based on the formless (Soul), not on the form(ego).

By simply going on believing and accepting whatever is said by the punditry will not lead one towards the path of wisdom. All the doubt has to be got rid of "by the sword of Self - Knowledge." The scriptures, yoga is not necessary if one follows the inner (formless) path. Religion and yoga are not the means to the path of wisdom. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Religious upbringing is a major cause, which blocks one from realizing the Self hidden by ignorance.+

Religious upbringing is a major cause, which blocks one from realizing the Self hidden by ignorance. The orthodox people have a narrow-minded outlook because they think what religious samskaras they inherited from their forefathers as the ultimate truth.

The garbage of the religious beliefs dogmas superstition is confounded with the human imagination. The great reality of the glory of the religious Gods is hyped and obscured by so much tinsel and commercialism.

Spirituality is not theology. Advaita is not a philosophy but Advaita is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Advaita is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana or knowledge of the Spirit or God in truth.

Hindus get samskara as Hindu. Christian get samskara as Christian. Muslims get samskara as Muslims. Buddhist get samskara as Buddhists.

The seeker of truth should not start with the idea of God. The seeker does not know whether there is God or not. There is no proof. The seeker needs proof of God's existence.

There is need not doubt that people saw Shiva, Jesus, etc. That they saw visions may be an undeniable fact. But the question is “Was what they saw the Truth?" They no doubt had such vision but they never stopped to inquire if their visions are true.

Remember:~

After years of effort glorifying Christ when Christian closes his eyes and Christ comes to him.

After years of effort glorifying Krishna when a Hindu closes his eyes and Krishna comes to him.

After years of effort glorifying Buddha when a Buddhist closes his eyes and Buddha comes to him.

After years of effort glorifying  Mahavira when a Jain closes his eyes and Mahavira comes to him.

Christ doesn’t come to a Hindu; Mahavira doesn’t come to a Christian. Buddha doesn’t come to a Jain: only the image projected in the subconscious will come. The image became almost solid. It became so real from constant repetition, from continuous remembering, that it seemed projected deity was standing in from of him. No one was standing there.

Wherever is projected is merely an illusion created out of the consciousness. Any experience is possible only within the domain of form, time, and space. Whatever belongs to the form, time and space are merely an illusion.

The illusion is created out of single stuff and that single stuff is the consciousness. The knowledge of the single stuff is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

In reality, consciousness alone exists without the division of form, time, and space. There is no second here, no other. From the standpoint of the Soul, form, time and space are merely an illusion.

The seeker has to take all the facts, and then proceed to examine and analyze, how far is it true?”

To talk of seeking God is as meaningless as saying "seeking dog". It is only a hollow word. one must know God in truth. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Gnani never claims himself as a Gnani, he guides the seekers, not posing himself as a Guru, and he does not force his wisdom on others.+

Gnani never claims himself as a Gnani, he guides the seekers, not posing himself as a Guru, and he does not force his wisdom on others.

Religious believers constantly quarrel with one another claiming that their religion is superior to other religions. They haven't the intelligence to understand that in reality there is nothing exist other than the universal God, which is present in the form of the Spirit.

The Spirit is the Self. The ultimate truth is One and universal.

Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)”,

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.

There is no God but God. There is no God because the world in which we exist is merely an illusion created out of God, the Spirit. Call it with any name God is universal. God belongs to the whole of humanity. Religion creates separation God is unity in diversity. God is one which the cause of the whole world in which humanity exists. there is no God but God means the world in which we exist is an illusion the GOD is the cause of the world is real and eternal. The God alone is real and all else is an illusion. There is second thing exists other than the Spirit, the God thus, God is Advaita.

Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~  God is  Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

God with form, name, and attributes does not find any support from the Vedas.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Do not accept any other God other than the Soul. The Soul is God in truth,  Nothing is real but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Nothing matters but realize  God in truth. God in truth is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is real and eternal and all else is an illusion.

Brahman is merely a word to indicate the ultimate truth or God in truth.  The ultimate truth itself is God in truth.

Sage Sankara’s Supreme Brahman is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal, and Akarta (non-agent). It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object as it is beyond the reach of the senses. Brahman is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other beside it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. Brahman cannot be described because description implies a distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than It. In Brahman, there is not a distinction between substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constituted the very essence or Svarupa of Brahman, and not just Its attributes. The Nirguna Brahman of Sage Sankara is impersonal.

All people are seeking the same Truth..... Everyone is going toward the ultimate goal. They will all realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth if they have sincerity and longing to realize it. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Without the universe, you cease to exist. Without unfolding the mystery of the universe the Soul, the Self hidden by the universe will not be revealed.+

Religion has deprived you of capacity to grasp the truth of the true existence hidden by the illusory existence, which is present in the form of the universe.

Without the universe, you cease to exist. Without unfolding the mystery of the universe the Soul, the Self hidden by the universe will not be revealed.

The Soul, the Self is the cause of the universe and itself is uncaused.

The whole universe is created out of single clay and that single clay is consciousness.

Sage Sankara: ~ VC~"All this universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms, is nothing else but Brahman which is absolutely free from all the limitations of Maya.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Do not accept any other truth other than consciousness. Consciousness is the ultimate truth. Nothing is real but consciousness.

Realize consciousness as the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. Consciousness is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Sage Sankara says: ~ What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead to the final Goal. (Commentary on Vedanta Sutra).

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone, is real and waking experience, which is present in the form of the universe, is unreal. Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Thus, Brahman is undifferentiated consciousness, devoid of parts, attributes, form, changes, or limitations whatsoever.

The Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness is ‘Self’-luminous and all-pervading and one only, without a second.

The Soul, the ‘Self’ is the fullness of consciousness. In reality, it is ever-free. Within the dualistic illusion, the Soul is caught up in the prison of experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

Rig Veda:~When darkness was rolling over darkness there was Existence only. Nobody knows how this universe came into being. You will find in Rig Veda: Who knows here, who can here state whence came all this multifarious Universe? Even the Devas are posterior to its creation, who then knows whence this came out? Rig Veda VIII-17-6.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness alone, exists. Consciousness appears as the universe which we cognize just as a rope appears as a serpent. Consciousness puts on the appearance of this universe in which we exist.

Consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Consciousness is the substance and witness of the universe which appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality).

Consciousness is without cause and without effect, without anything inside or outside, without defect or impurity, without length or breadth, without color, shape, or form.

Consciousness is without limbs, parts, name, or caste, without hands and legs.

Consciousness is an embodiment of wisdom, peace, and awareness. Consciousness shines by itself’ because it is ‘Self’-luminous.:~Santthosh Kumaar

Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ Atman (God in truth) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman.+

When Sage Sankara says The world is an illusion and Brahman alone is real then why worship the Guru and Gods based on the ego, which is the false self of this illusory world.

The Soul, the ‘Self itself is the Infinite God.

The Soul is the Self. God is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. God is the fullness of the consciousness without the illusory division of form, time, and space. Therefore, there is nothing apart from it.

Remember:~

God in truth is Self-evident. God in truth is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny God in truth because God in truth is the very essence of the one who denies it. God in truth is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe in which you exist, God in truth is without the illusory universe in which you exist.

God is the Supreme Being the One eternal homogeneous essence, indivisible consciousness, and intelligence, which is beyond form, time, and space. To which the Sages describe in a variety of ways through diverse words.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many God s. (7- Verse -20)

Only the path of wisdom leads the seeker of truth on his journey to the ultimate realization of the Soul, the God in truth. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, worships ‘Self’ as~ Atman (God in truth) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare."

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Lord Krishna says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth." The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. God in truth is only Atman, the Self.

In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists. The Soul, the ‘Self itself is the Infinite God. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Orthodox people think that through their good karma and performing rituals they get Moksha but the religious propagated Moksha are imaginary.+

Orthodox people think that through their good karma and performing rituals they get Moksha but the religious propagated Moksha are imaginary.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (10) - Ignorant fools, regarding sacrifices and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know any higher good. Having enjoyed their reward on the heights of heaven, gained by good works, they still remain in ignorance of the Atman the real God.

As a person, one performs rituals throughout his life. The person who performs rituals and aspires for rewards will view the world in which he exists as a reality. However, the Soul, the Self unborn eternal hidden by the world in which he exists. From the standpoint of the Soul, the world in which he exists is merely an illusion.

The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are therefore addressed to an ignorant person.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (9) ~ Children, immersed in ignorance in various ways, flatter themselves, saying: We have accomplished life's purpose. Because these performers of karma do not know the Truth owing to their attachment, they fall from heaven, misery-stricken, when the fruit of their work is exhausted.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2  ~ Fools, dwelling in darkness, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind men led by the blind.

Ish Upanishad declares:~ Those people who have neglected the attainment of Self-knowledge and have thus committed suicide 10/11/12

The religious orthodox people who have neglected the attainment of Self-knowledge and have thus committed suicide, as it were, are doomed to enter those worlds after death.

There are two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the more advanced seeker who seeks to know the truth beyond the form, time, and space. The religious orthodoxy is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. The Atmic path, with emphasis on the Advaitic wisdom, is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

Although Sage Sankara puts the mystic goal highest in his mystical books, he is careful to say that this goal leads to Brahman, not that it is a realization.

That is why Sage Sankara: ~ VC- Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)

As one goes deeper in annals of the history he becomes aware of the fact that the so-called present Hinduism has adopted many things from Buddhism, the religion of Abraham, Jainism, and Islam. If one goes deeper enough he will become aware everything is mixed up and messed up in time.

No one is taken pains to rectify it because; because people have been inherited them, from their ancestors and they think it is blasphemy even to hear anything against their inherited religion and belief. Once one gets involved with the religious class it is the end of the pursuit of truth.

The theistic (orthodoxy) Advaita and Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati‘s Vedic religion are based on the dualistic perspective but Advaita philosophy bifurcated from the theistic (dualistic) perspective is the real Advaita(non-dualistic) propagated by Sage  Sankara.

There is no need to study neither Advaita nor Vedas nor Buddhism to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman. It is no use going roundabout way; trace the Brahman.

Sage Sankara said: ~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) Vivekachoodamani v 56, pg 25

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study the Scriptures, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~ then why do you indulge in studying the scriptures.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study philosophy, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~then why do you indulge in studying philosophy.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to indulge rituals, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~ then why do you indulge in rituals.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to indulge in yoga, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~ then why do you indulge in yoga.

Sage Sankara says the transparent Truth of the ‘Self’, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani) then why you are sticking a Guru who is not a Gnani.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The Self is not you because you are the ego. Without the ego, you and the world in which you exist cease to exist.+

The Self is not you because you are the ego. Without the ego, you and the world in which you exist cease to exist.

The Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul, the Self is nothing to do with you and the world in which you exist because you and the world in which you exist is nothing but dualistic illusion or Maya.

The dualistic illusion or Maya hides the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The Soul the Self is verily one and without parts, whereas the body consists of many parts; and yet the people due to ignorance see (confound) these two as one.

The Soul the Self is unborn eternal since it is Existence itself; the universe is transient, as it is nonexistence in essence.

It is impossible to eliminate the ego. You cannot go beyond the ego because you are the ego. The ego is the very basis of the world in which you exist. It is impossible to eliminate the ego.

Remember: ~

People talk of getting rid of the ego but it is impossible to get rid of the ego. The ego is the very basis of form, time, and space. Without the ego, form, time and space cease to exist. Without the form, time, and space the world in which we exist ceases to exist.

Thus, a perfect understanding of ‘what is what' is required to get rid of ignorance. Without getting rid of the ignorance the form, time, and space prevail as a reality.

One has to get rid of ignorance, not the ego because the ego is the product of ignorance.

Just by saying let there be ‘oneness’ the diversity will not vanish. Without the Advaitic wisdom, ignorance will not vanish. Without getting rid of ignorance, the dualistic illusion (the world in which you exist) prevails as a reality.

Trying to get rid of the ‘ego’ is like trying to get mangoes from a coconut tree. The truth is not imagination. Ornamental words may give satisfaction to a certain mindset but it blocks one from realizing the ‘Self’ hidden by ignorance.

The ultimate truth is the fullness of consciousness. There is nothing apart from consciousness, because, the whole universe is nothing but consciousness. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara says:~ The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards are therefore addressed to an ignorant person. Thus, the rituals are meant for ignorant people.+

Sage Sankara says:~ The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards are therefore addressed to an ignorant person. Thus, the rituals are meant for ignorant people.

Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."

~ This shows he was wearing the religious robe only for the sake of bread." Thus, it means those who are wearing the religious robe for the sake of bread.

All the rituals based on the false belief of Gods will not yield any fruits and they are meant for the ignorant populace who are unable to grasp the God beyond the form, time, and space.

One of Sage Sankara’s missions was to wean people away from a ritualistic approach advocated by Mimamsakas and to project wisdom (jnana) as the means of liberation in the light of Upanishad teachings.

Sage Sankara criticized severely the ritualistic attitude and those who advocated such practices. However, the orthodox texts that combined rituals with wisdom (jnana_karma_samucchaya) more in favor of the Mimamsaka position came into vogue, projecting Sage Sankara as the rallying force of the doctrine.

That is why Sage Sankara: ~ (11) As regards the rituals, Sage Sankara says, the person who performs rituals and aspires for rewards will view himself in terms of the caste into which he is born, his age, the stage of his life, his standing in society, etc. In addition, he is required to perform rituals all through his life. However, the 'Self' has none of those attributes or tags. Hence, the person who superimposes all those attributes on the changeless, eternal Self and identifies the Self with the body is a confusing one for the other; and is, therefore, an ignorant person. The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are therefore addressed to an ignorant person. Adhyasa Bhashya

Sage Sankara: ~ (11.1) This ignorance (mistaking the body for Self) brings in its wake a desire for the well-being of the body, aversion for its disease or discomfort, fear of its destruction, and thus a host of miseries(anartha). This anartha is caused by projecting karthvya(“doer” sense) and bhokthavya (object) on the Atman. Sankara calls this adhyasa. The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are, therefore, he says, addressed to an ignorant person.: ~Adhyasa Bhashya

Sage Sankara: ~ (11.2) In short, the person who engages in rituals with the notion “I am an agent, doer, thinker”, according to Sage Sankara, is ignorant, as his behavior implies a distinct, separate doer/agent/knower; and an object that is to be done/achieved/known. That duality is Avidya, an error that can be removed by Vidya. .: ~Adhyasa Bhashya

Sage Sankara: ~ (12) Sage Sankara affirming his belief in one eternal unchanging reality (Brahman) and the illusion of plurality, drives home the point that Upanishads deal not with rituals but with the knowledge of the Absolute (Brahma Vidya) and the Upanishads give us an insight into the essential nature of the Self which is identical with the Absolute, the Brahman. ~Adhyasa Bhashya

No conceptual God can exist, apart from consciousness. People are not aware of the fact that there is no individual God that can exist, apart from the Soul, which is in the form of consciousness.

No conceptual God can exist, apart from consciousness. People are not aware of the fact that there is no individual God that can exist, apart from the Soul, which is in the form of consciousness. :~Santthosh Kumaar

A Gnani never poses himself as a Guru, a swami, a sadhu, or a yogi or some Guru’s disciple.+

If you are trying to become a Guru or Monk then you are unfit to acquire Self-knowledge. Someone posing as a Gnani, because he is some Gurus’ a direct disciple cannot be a Gnani. Those who pose themselves as Gnanis are not Gnanis.

A Gnani never poses himself as a Guru, a swami, a sadhu, or a yogi or some Guru’s disciple.

Different Gurus and teachers are pointing out the understanding of the Advaitic truth from different standpoints. All such understanding of Advaita is on the dualistic perspective accumulated from here and there.

Sage Sankara: ~"Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."

Sage Sankara: ~ A Gnani "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (Stanza 539).

Thus, it proves that religious Gurus and yogis are not Gnanis because they identified themselves as holy people.

A Gnani never claims himself as a Gnani, he guides the seekers, not posing himself as a Guru, and he does not force his wisdom on others.

Advaita is not a theory or a philosophy. Advaita is the nature of the Soul the innermost Self. There is no need for any theory or philosophy or scriptures to acquire Self-knowledge. Only a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.

Sage Sankara:~ 'Like a servant who carries a lamp in front of you to find your way, and you have found it, so becomes the Veda to that person. What is the Veda? ~ utterances of those who have known the Truth. Here is one who has known the Truth; why should he or she depend upon the Veda further? Actual realization takes you beyond books. At a certain stage, books become a botheration. The Upanishad itself says that the 'words are only so much of distraction for such minds'

Bhagavan Buddha: ~ Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.

You need not become a Guru or a monk to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. You have not to renounce the world or to leave anything ~ your wife, children, job, responsibilities. You do not have to renounce anything!

The only thing you have to realize is the truth, which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space by realizing the form, time, and space is the product of ignorance. When the ignorance vanishes, the unreality of the form, time, and space is exposed.

Upanishad says: ~ "He who thinks he knows, does not know." This means that to know anything implies a second, an object of knowledge, hence duality, i.e. no Gnana.

Tripura Rahasya: ~ Second-hand knowledge of the Self-gathered from books or Gurus can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realization will do that. Realize yourself, turning the mind inward. (18: 89): ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Sufism from the non-dualistic or Advaitic perspective.+

Sufism from the non-dualistic or Advaitic perspective:~

Al Hillaj Mansoor was a great Sufi. He was killed by religious fanatics, because he said, Anal HakI AM GODSai Baba of Shirdi also used to say, Anal Hak.
When Al Hillaj Mansoor asserted, ‘I am God,’ religious fanatics killed him. Sufism is always killed by fanatic religious believers – because religious fanatics cannot tolerate a man asserting that he is God! They feel offended because how can a man be a God?

Hafiz refers to orthodox believers and fanatics, wherein Hafiz says: "O God, forgive the orthodox and fanatics, for they do not see the Truth."

Meher Baba: ~ We find the people quarreling in the name of religion over their holy books. Is it not like dogs fighting for the bare bones which have no marrow in them?"

How can you believe the belief of God as a separate entity? That implies two ~ the believer and the belief, whereas God in truth is nondual or Advaita. One can worship his idea of God only or realize his unity with God when he can’t worship God as apart.
God is in the form of the Spirit, and God is indeed Spirit itself” then why accept another God in place of the Spirit or believe other than the Spirit.
God is the Supreme Being the One eternal homogeneous essence, indivisible consciousness and intelligence, which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space. Which the Sages of truth describe in a variety of ways through diverse words.
When Al Hillaj Mansoor says, Anal Hak - ‘I AM GOD. Anal Hak or I AM GOD is the state of God in Sufism.    Only a person who has realized what God is supposed to be in actuality reaches the State of Anal Hak or the State of God
Third Mundaka Upanishad - Chapter 2 (9) - He who realized the Supreme Brahman (God) verily becomes Brahman (God).
God cannot be attained by one who is without strength or earnestness but if one strives with sincerity and seriousness then the dualistic illusion (universe) transcends into the nondualistic reality, which is God
A Sufi is the one who realized God in truth. God shines brightly and in which the universe rests. The Sufi is free from ignorance. The Sufi transcends the illusory form, time, and space and is established in the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.   The nature of God is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
It is very difficult to recognize who is a real Sufi because he bears no external mark. Neither nudity nor the religious symbol has anything to do with him. Anyone who follows Sufism does not become a Sufi unless he has realized God in truth.
A Sufi, on attaining realization, will not give up his vocation in life but will continue it as before. If he was a billniore then he continues so, if a peasant, he will remain one. He still does his duty, but he is fully aware of the fact that his practical life within the practical world is merely an illusion.
Remember: ~
A Self-realized person is a God-realized person because the Soul, the ‘Self’ itself is God on truth. In reality, the ‘Self’ is free from experiencing the illusory form, time, and space as a reality. Man and his experience of the world cease to exist without the illusory form, time, and space.  The real existence is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. The nature of God in truth is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.  The real existence is God.
If God is the formless Spirit, then how does man know God created the world? There is no proof. If man had seen God creating the world, he could admit it, but how could he have seen God before he came into existence? (i.e. were created).
God, the Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.
This universe which through ignorance appears as of diverse forms is nothing else but God (Spirit) which is absolutely free from all the limitations of the illusory form, time, and space.
So the fanatics believers in dogmas – they said that God created man, so man can only be a creature, not a creator; and this is profanity, the very apex of profanity to assert that ‘I AM GOD’ – they killed him. And what was Al Hillaj Mansoor saying when they killed him? He said loudly to the sky, ‘You cannot deceive me! Even in these murderers, I see you, – you cannot deceive me. You are here in these murderers! And in whatsoever form you come, my God, I will know you, because I have known you.’

Remember:~
Religion is regarded as sacred and real by the common people, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful.
Religious fanatics never understood the Spiritualistic interpretation of Anal Hak- they thought he is referring to himself as God but it is not so he was referring to the infinite existence hidden by the finite ‘I’, which is present in the form of the universe.
The Soul is the  Self. The innermost Self is God.  It is not I AM GOD, but it’s correct to say ‘the SELF IS GOD
Before saying I AM GOD’ one must realize what ‘God’ is supposed to be in actuality.   Only ignorant says ‘I AM GOD’ without knowing what it means.
People say I AM GOD but when God is, how can "I" remain? Only God prevails not I. The ‘I’ exists only in the domain of the illusory form, time, and space whereas the Soul, the Self is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.  The Soul, the ‘Self is God in truth.
There is no God in the domain of the ‘I’ because the ‘I’ is merely an illusory expression of God.
It is erroneous to use the word ‘I’ for the Self, because ‘I’ represents the illusory form, time, and space whereas the Soul, the innermost Self is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
Some people say:  "I AM GOD." This presupposes that they have the same miraculous and creative powers of God. They do not, however, display possession of such power. Such is the fallacy of their logic.
People who say “I AM GOD’ are merely repeating like a parrot word, which they have read in their holy books or heard from a wandering monk or fakir. It does not prove that they have realized the ultimate truth or God. With bookish or hearsay knowledge it is unable to prove that everything is God, which is present in the form of the Spirit. One has to do lots of homework to realize God, the Self.

The Quranic version of Advaita.

La illah illa Allah  -- No God  but Allah.

The meaning of La illaha illallah is simple, it means (La) No (illaha) God (illallah) but Allah.
The meaning of the word Allah is unique unlike English, it is purely singular in the Arabic language and cannot be made female or male despite it being a name which means Allah is free from being HE   or SHE. But why scripture uses “he” is another topic up for debate. But La Illaha Illallah means (There is) No god but Allah.
This means there is no God worthy of worship in the universe but the Gid which is hidden by the universe and is the cause of the universe. Allah is God's second to none. Allah is Advaita.
Remember:~
Sufism is nothing but mystic-orated spirituality. Sufism is nothing to do with religion. Sufism is concerned with God in truth. God in truth is Spirit. There is no God in untruth because God is the truth hidden by the unreal universe.
Mysticism has its pragmatic value but mystics fail to stop and ask "what is the ultimate meaning of this bliss which they feel in the mystic experience?"  Therefore, an inquiry is needed to realize ‘What is the truth?’  ‘What is untruth?’
The mystic object to introducing inquiry into the quest adopts an attitude as though it were like introducing something which is not sacred.  Mysticism blocks the mystic from realizing the truth hidden by the untruth because he has accepted the untruth as to the ultimate truth.  He is unaware of the ultimate truth, which is Brahman or God.
The ultimate truth or God can be realized only when he realizes the ‘Self’ hidden by the ‘I’.  The ‘Self the Spirit’ is God, not the ‘I’. Only those who realize the Spirit as the ‘Self’ are a real Sufi.
Meher Baba: ~ “When the reality appears this ignorance which one thinks as reality becomes unreal.
Like an ornament made from gold is Gold, that which is born out of the Spirit (God) is Spirit. Like gold is the permanent thing, in ornaments made of gold, similarly, the universe is born out of the Spirit, is Spirit in its essence.
When Sufiism bifurcated from mysticism then it is possible to realize the God hidden by the veil of ignorance. Mysticism takes God for granted without realizing what God is in actuality.   Realization of what God is necessary to become a real Sufi.
Without bifurcating Sufism from mysticism is like beating around the bush without realizing that God is supposed to be in actuality.  One has to penetrate deep in Self-search and realize the God hidden by the ‘I’, which is the state of ignorance. The Sufi is the one who has reached the ‘Self is God' state.
People may not ever have heard of Sufism and you may be a Sufi. A Gnani is the one who has realized God in truth.  A Gnani is a real Sufi.   A Sufi is in awareness of God in the midst of the dualistic illusion. A  Sufi is a person who has established awareness of formless, timeless, and spaceless existence, which is the real nature of the Spirit, God.
Lord Krishna is a Sufi, and Jesus Christ is a Sufi, Sage Sri, Sankara is Sufi and Bhagavan Buddha too is the Sufi and they never heard and they never knew that anything like Sufism. Meher Baba was Sufi. Meher Baba was on the 7th plane, which is the Self is God's state.  In that state, God alone exists all else (universe) is an illusion.
Meher Baba:~Unless and until ignorance is removed and Knowledge is gained. . . . the Knowledge whereby the Divine Life is experienced and lived . . . everything pertaining to the spiritual seems paradoxical . . . God, whom we do not see, we say is real; and the world, which we do see, we say is false. Inexperience, what exists for us does not really exist; and what does not exist for us, really exists.
Meher Baba said: ~ "There is no higher or lower goal. There is only one goal, Self-Realization."
Meher Baba said: ~ God is your innermost Self. Do not search for God outside of you. Let these words be inscribed in your heart. Nothing is real but God. Nothing Matters but love for God. God is everywhere and does everything. God is beyond us and is everything. God alone is and all else is an illusion.
A Sufi bears no outward mark of a holy man. Sometimes he appears to be dull-witted, sometimes wise. Sometimes he seems splendid as a king, feeble-minded. Sometimes he is calm and silent. Sometimes he draws men to him. Sometimes people honor him greatly, sometimes they insult him. Sometimes they ignore him.
Second-hand knowledge of the God gathered from books or fakirs can never emancipate a man until its truth is rightly investigated and applied; only direct realization will do that.

Realize yourself by realizing the Self is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of the Spirit. The Spirit is God.
Jesus said: ~ Seek and ye shall find. Knock the doors shall open to you.
Why did Jesus say different things? Owing to the time and the persons, according to their readiness to listen and understand. What Jesus meant was to leave all and follow the ‘Self’; that means to know the ‘Self’ and realize the ‘Self’, which is the Spirit, the God.
The teachings that are being followed by Christians are not the real teachings that Christ gave. The priests have altered his words, added to his teachings, and spoiled them.
Jesus said: ~ Seek and ye shall find. Knock the doors shall open to you.
***
Gospel Thomas Logian 22:~ Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, “These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.”

They said to him, “Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?”

Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female is female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.”
Santthosh Kumaar: ~ “This above passage is Jesus’s version of Nonduality or Advaita. When one realizes mind (matter) and the Soul (Spirit), the Self are one, in essence, there is no place for the duality. Without duality, the universe ceases to exist. Without the universe, your existence within the universe is merely an illusion because there is scope for two because everything is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the consciousness or Spirit, the God.
Sage Sankara’s Supreme Brahman (God) is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal, and Akarta (non-agent). God is above all needs and desires. God is always the Witnessing Subject. God can never become an object as God is beyond the reach of the senses. God is non-dual, one without a second. God has no other beside it. God is destitute of difference, either external or internal. God cannot be described because the description implies a distinction. God cannot be distinguished from any other than God. In God, there is not a distinction between substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constituted the very essence or Svarupa of God, and not just God's attributes. The Nirguna Brahman of Sage Sankara is impersonal.
Constant remembrance of the nature of God leads to Self-awareness, which itself is God-awareness.
Until one thinks he is an individual separate from this world he remains in the realm of duality. Duality is the product of ignorance. When the Advaitic wisdom dawns, then the ignorance vanishes. When the ignorance vanishes, then the duality never remains as a reality.  Without duality, God alone exists as the ultimate reality.
No mystic has as yet asked himself the question, "How do I know that my experience is Truth?"
A Sufi is without form, time, and space even though he exists in the domain of form, time, and space.  A Sufi is immersed is aware of the formless, timeless, and spaceless God in the midst of the domain of the illusory form, time, and space.
Until the followers of Sufism speak of God without realizing what God is supposed to be in truth, it is impossible to unfold the mystery of God.  When they realize what God is supposed to be in truth then the truth will start revealing itself.
When the followers of Sufism can observe their worldview from the non-dualistic perspective then they will realize the truth hidden by the ‘I’.
The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the world, observed and experienced. The commoner viewing the world will see differently from a Sufi viewing the same world. Each one interprets the world that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore, experiences the birth, life, death, and the world as a reality, whereas a Sufi sees everything as the consciousness and he is fully aware of the fact that, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul or the consciousness. Thus, all the egocentric knowledge has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is hidden by the ‘I’.
Meher Baba said~ ‘When we talk of the Infinite and the finite, we are referring to them as two, and the Infinite has already become the second part of the duality. But the Infinite belongs to the non-dual order of being.
If the Infinite is looked upon as the counterpart of the finite, it is strictly speaking, no longer infinite, but a species of the finite, for it stands outside the finite as its opposite and is thus limited.
Since the Infinite cannot be the second part of the finite, the apparent existence of the finite is false. The Infinite alone exists.
God cannot be brought down to the domain of duality. There is only one being in reality and it is the Universal Soul. The existence of the finite or limited is only apparent or imaginary.
God cannot be brought down to the domain of dualistic illusion or Maya.  In reality, there is only the Spirit, which is  God in truth.
The Spirit, God pervades in everything and everywhere in the universe. When one realizes the universe is nothing but a dualistic illusion created out of the Spirit, God,  then he realizes there is no second thing that exists other than Spirit, God. Thus everything is God.  There is no second thing that exists other than God. Hence God is nondual or Advaita.
God appears as the universe in waking or dream (duality) and the universe disappears as God in deep sleep (nonduality).
God is not a Christian; God is not a Jew, or a Muslim, or a Hindu, or a Buddhist because God in truth is universal.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is required to unfold the mystery of God.  No religion defines God. Spirituality alone points to God in Truth.  God in truth is Advaita.  ~ Santthosh Kumaar
